A number of reasons for this problem
first try leaving your laptop on for about 15 minutes and switch off and back on again if boots up normal then it sounds like the thermo paste on the processor is worn cheap fix if you know what your doing on the other end of the scale it could mean your GPU needs reflowing which can get expensive

PCV R44G, won't boot, no fans, won' turn on.

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Acer laptop no disiplay

No display on either? Does it sound like the computer completed the boot cycle? Do you hear fans running and the hard drive spinning?

What happens when you hit the power button? Do you hear any beeps or see any blinking lights? Does anything post to the screen during the boot cycle?

If the boot cycle completed and you see no display on either monitor, then your video card is bad.

Compaq presario 56000cl won't boot up / red light flashing in the back.

When you press the power button do you hear the fan running, hear the disk drive running, see any lights, do you hear the cd drive click once and see the light come on briefly on the cd drive door? If you see all the aforementioned then it is surely trying to boot. Computers don't boot mainly because of the following problems. 1) Bad Power Cord or Power Supply. 2) Electro Static Buildup. 3) Bad Motherboard 4) Bad boot or system files.
Remove the Power Cord and the battery if it's a laptop. Press and Hold the Power Button for 30 Seconds. Then replace only the Power Cord and try hitting the Power Button. If it boots you had an Electro Static Buildup. If you have boot or system files that are missing or corrupt normally the system will be telling you that on an error message that appears on the screen. Does your system show you anything on the screen when you press the Power Button? If not you have a Power Supply or Motherboard issue.

Hi. Try to perfrom power drain to your netbook. Take out the battery then unplugged the power adapter. Press and hold the power button for 30 secs. Put everything back in then turn on the computer. If same problem will happen then you need to contact ACER and have your computer srviced for LCD problem.
