You have to check how many beeps it does, and also you have to check either its long or short beeps, all this has different solution, but sounds somthing in the board not installed correctly, could be the vga card, memory, ...etc.

Hard drive will not start loud beeps

Hello, I personally have had this same problem. The loud beeps that you are hearing are notifying you that your RAM (Random Access Memory) is corrupt. The way to fix this is to remove the back plate of your computer and replace the RAM chips.

Here is how to do that.
Just select your model of computer, and then find the guide for "RAM Replacement"

When i start my computer it makes a loud beeping noise it is a acer aspire4520

What you are hearing is probably a BIOS beep code.

Beep codes are a bit like Morse code, and are used to indicate certain faults with the hardware.

The codes change from manufacturer to manufacturer, but generally speaking one beep = System OK, so if your PC is starting up normally and you have no other problems there is nothing to worry about!

Hope this helps,

Dell Dimension 8400 - screen goes black or just freezes, no mouse or keyboard input works. Power down and then power back up works fine for about 10 mins then same problem.

Does the computer emit any beeps? If so, how many beeps?
One quick loud BEEP, at start up means that all is loading OK. If you get more than one BEEP sound, than you could have Memory ( RAM ) that is, or has failed. Sometimes, if one of the internal fans has failed or is failing, a computer will start up, and than shut itsself down again. Look for any error messages that may come across the screen. Get on another computer, and search for "computer beep codes". If you have the original manual that came with the computer, sometimes it will list beep codes in it. As it has been pointed out, it could be the hard drive also, check the beep codes, that is a good place to start.

Computer turns on, but won't work afterwords

Hi,

Nev, the two loud beeping sound of the system when turning it on could be a problem with the memory or the system board.

Try disconnecting the power and take out the battery, then press and hold the power button for 5 seconds then look for the memory comparment and reseat it.

Keep me posted.

Thanks.

Computer beeping loudly

It could be that you have a keyboard malfunction, however it looks like there is a bios update that will eliminate the beep at start up. Go to Toshiba's support site and download the bios update. if that doesn't fix the problem then try a new keyboard. Being only 2 months old it should fall under warranty.

one long continuous beep is defined as :
' Power Supply or System Board / Keyboard stuck '

If not, you need to post your BIOS and
