How do i open the battery cover for the iphone 4?

To remove cover, you need Penelope screwdriver and remove the two screws on the bottom of the phone. The IMEI number is found on the sim tray and also on the back faceplate on most phones close to the bottom.

How to replace a Samsung SCH-U550 cell phone battery

The Samsung SCH-U550 is an older-style flip phone that doesn't see much use today. If you still have an SCH-U550 and you need to replace its battery, here's how.

First it's a good idea to turn the phone off. (You don't have to, but there's less chance of data being corrupted if you do.) Hold down the End button for a couple of seconds until you see the phone start to power down, then the screen will go black.

Once the phone is off, turn it over so you're looking at the back side. Most of the back cover, from the bottom about 2/3 of the way up toward the top, is one piece. To remove the cover, push down on it with your thumb and slide it downward. If you press on it closer to the top it will be easier to slide, but you may have to push firmly.

With the cover off, you should be staring at the battery. It's black and rectangular, and it probably says "Samsung" on it. Remove the battery by sliding your thumb into the groove on the bottom side and lifting it up.

When installing the new battery, slide it in from the bottom up -- towards the three gold pins sticking out of the phone. Those pins should line up with the three gold contacts on the battery itself. The battery will also probably have an arrow on it, in the direction that you should slide it.

With the new battery in, reattach the rear cover. There are three tabs sticking out of the top of the cover that will line up with three notches in the back side of the phone. Insert the tabs about halfway into the notches, then push the cover down (toward the phone) and slide the tabs the rest of the way in to snap the cover into place.

Now just turn your phone on to verify that the new battery works. If your phone doesn't turn on, remove the battery and reinstall it, being certain that the contacts and pins are touching and that everything fits into place.

I am getting a Invalid battery sign on my phone. Do I need a new battery/

I found a fix on Yahoo Answers by somebody named Cos.

"Take the battery door off and take the battery out.
On top of the battery (BR50) where the Caution statement is there will be a hollow section to the battery. (you may have to feel for it as it may be covered with a sticker)
Cover this hollow section with tape or wedge a small bit of card between the battery and the location pin so that the pin cannot intrude into the gap. And thats it folks.... my quick fix! I'm guessing that over time the power pins push the battery against this location pin and strech the sticker hence unseating the battery."

It worked for me! I put a small piece of card stock over that indented place, and Scotch taped in in place. I put the battery back in and connected the charger and it reads "charging battery"! Something so simple, after months of frustration with my Razr not always charging!

Apparently the "invalid battery" message appears whenever the battery isn't making good contact with the pins at the bottom of the battery compartment. With the cardboard in there at the top, the battery is pressed down harder onto the pins.

Thanks to Cos for this great easy fix!

Tries To Come on, But Screen Will NOT Light Up!

hi there.
the problem your having is caused by a ribbon that connects the screen and the mainboard in the phone.
the ribbon seems to have either come loose or detached.other than that being a problem it will almost certainly be a screen issue where the lcd has burnt out.
but in my professional opinion it will almost certainly be a ribbon issue

How do you fix a memory card into motorola v3 i have tried slipping it behind my sim card then the phone cant read sim can anyone help?

There should be an alternate slot for the memory card to slip into besides the sim slot. just look it should be behind the battery cover but not behind the battery.
