Usually theere are 2 long 1/4" bolts that are on either side of the drive pulley that is on the bottom of the engine shaft that are located close to the pulley with just enough room for the belt to run past them but do not allow the belt to come off the pulley. See if they are still in place. If they are then your belt may be worn way down or it's not the correct one if the belt has room to get past them. hope this helps you

MOWER BLADE DOES NOT DISINGAGE

You need to replace the blade clutch cable that runs between the blade engagement lever just to the right of the steering wheel and the the spring to the idler/clutch wheel on the top of the mower deck. Over time the cable binds in the sleeve/cable jacket preventing the blade from disengaging

Will not start fuse ok battery ok they said try new starter, its ok turn key on hear click Sound sounds llik up at carberator, AMP gauge gos negetive and starter will not ingage, belt for mower is...

I would try to jump the starter. Pos cable on the starter then ground out the neg, it the starter turns over that isnt it. then check the smaller wire going to your soleniod, when you turn your key to the start position it should have power. then check to see if there is power from the battery to your soleniod then with the key turned power from the soleniod to the starter.

Replaced deck belt and it keeps coming off, whats wrong?

The belt tensioners on top of the deck need adjusted, or you make have to adjust the pulleys to tighten the belt. Sometimes if you have the deck lowered to low to the ground, uneven terain can cause that. If you have everything adjusted correctly, simply raise the deck another notch and mow.

Not ingaging

Check to see if the belt might have come off and wedged on something under the frame. Or,,maybe a spindle could be locked-up. One more thing to check is if your deck might have a braking system on it to keep the blades from moveing it might not be disingaging.

I can't disingage the lever to cut grass on my craftsman riding lawn mover. Now because of this I can't start the mover.

the lever moves an arm on the deck connected to a pivoting plate holding the idler pulley. when you push up the lever, it pulls the pivot [and idler pulley] back and puts tension on the belt. if this pivot gets rusted, it sticks and won't release tension on the belt. find the pivot point and lubricate it thoroughly with oil, wd-40, or liquid wrench, then work it back and forth by hand until it is freed up
