Uniden DSS7955 Cordless phone problems

I purchased the phone yesterday, charged for 24 hours; set date, time, tried to register the handset. It shows handset #1 after charging 24 hours, Plugged phone into phone line; the base worked on speaker phone mode, but the handset wouldn’t communicate with the base. Tried to deregister the handset but it always says “out of range” . the handset is fully charged and shows full battery charged icon. Wanted to bring the set back to the shop but lost the receipt.

I’d be thankful if you could let me know how to get the handset work.

Whenever we make a call there will be a fuzzy noise on the line even before we dial any number, as well as the call never goes through. No calls can be received because of this problem. We have called the service center and they suggested that we move the lines away from the internet connection but no changes are evident. What should i do no? What suggestions do you have? It is as if the phone cannot locate a phone line at all because there is no dial tone.

MY Cordless phone is a UNIDEN DSS7955

-   Line Noise or Buzz. Uniden 5.8 mhz cordless phone being used in an office setting. As an office, there is a wireless LAN and a computer present. The noise sounds like a motor that is cycling on and off and interfering with reception of a nearby radio.

Even before dialing the number, a "metallic" rapid buzz repeatedly interferes on the caller end of the phone.

This also occurrs with just an open phone line prior to dialing a number. The buzz is a four second burst followed by a 28 second interval of silence. It then repeats continuously. The person called can hear this buzz rather slightly. The buzz is loudest on the caller end of the connection.

The phone model is a Uniden 5.8 mhz Model TRU 9460 the Uniden manual actually says: "Keep the handset away from...computers..." etc! This, of course, is obviously not an "interference FREE" product! This is not good news for a 5.8 mhz phone!-   Sherwood2
