Question about Toshiba REGZA 42WLG66 42 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I just had the same problem. I bought the 47HL167 on 9/28/07 my warranty of course just ended 9/28/09. (Murphy's Law.) I just paid the TV off and a week later the screen just blacks out for no reason. No power surge, no noise, nothing.. But the audio was still there. I tried switching inputs, pulling up tv menu.. nothing. I am so angry right now.. I hope this doesnt cost too much to fix. Is there any manufacturer warranty that would cover this? or do I just have a $3K piece of junk now...
My guess would be to suspect the inverter. but from what i can tell that model had two possile inverter types used during production.
