Only 2 ways that I know of....
Easiest: Suction the fluid via the dip stick tube using a drill pump (about 4 bucks at Harbor Freight or on line).
Less Easy: Remove all but one of the transmission pan bolts. With a large container under the pan, loosen the last bolt until you can pry the pan loose.... let the fluid run into the container. When it is empty, retighten that last bolt and then reinsert the removed bolts. The pan gasket should not leak when new fluid is poured into the dip stick tube (check it after about a quart is added... and snug the bolts either side of any leak).

My car indicating HMMF. what can i do.

Honda Insight ZE2 uses CVT Fluid. Use only Honda CVTF. NOTHING ELSE or the repercussions will be quite serious.. U can get it changed anywhere that they have the fluid in stock but i'd recommend a place that can reset the warning light after you get it done... I personally would prefer to go to the agents but there are plenty of places that specialist in hybrids such as hybrid motors, arabian motors etc but as I said before any garage that has Honda CVTF can change it for u, comes down to ur personal preference.. Capacity is almost 4L and the cost per liter is about Rs. 2,000/=

Important:
Add one unit (10 CC syringe) of DEX CVT additive (P/N 22697447) whenever an unrecoverable loss of fluid occurs during an authorized limited on vehicle repair. Minor fluid
loss, such as minor drips that may occur during the fluid checking procedure, does not require the addition of the additive.

What is the transmission oil for lancer 2006 cvt?

only use CVT fluid. Regular ATF is not correct and will damage the trans . These trans have enough problems using the correct fluid.

I own a 2006 Mercury Mariner Hybrid with CVT. What is the factory maintenance schedule for the transmission? Dealer is telling me it needs service at 70,000 miles and when purchased I was told it would be...

All Transmissions get the fluid changed at 30,000 miles

I really am not familliar with Hybrids, but if the Dealer
told you 70,000 miles, you can be rest assured that, that
is at the high end, mileage wise,as they usually tell you
that it never gets changed or changed at 100,000 miles

Both of which most trans fail long before ,along with
steering racks ,because of no fluid changes.

I'm guessing it takes special fluid

There are plenty of web sites to answer all
those questions any way you want.

The trans feels like it slips the fluid is full but dirty

08 and dirty fluid? How many miles on the F-150? Any warranty still in effect? If still under warranty, bring it in asap for service, If no warranty, change the fluid asap. Drop the pan and change the filter too. DON'T go to one of those shops that siphon out the fluid. You are left with a dirty filter, and I have heard of damage done to the trans. from that method. Most transmissions have a magnet in the bottom of the pan. It catches small metal particles and needs to be cleaned off. I'm hoping there is no damage to your trans, but if the fluid looks dirty, and it feels like it is slipping, it is probably due to excessive wear to components.

2005 escape auto transmission maintenance

You will have to pull the pan off the bottom of the trans, the filter is inside, this is a very messy job and you will most likely get trans fluid everywhere, I would suggest a shop do this unless you have a good floor jack and 4 jack stands, you will also need a large drain pan to catch the fluid. If you do this job do not overfill the trans, get it hot before you top it off with fluid, add 2 quarts right away and then keep adding until it is just below the fluid full line on the dip stick.

PS the other post is a fluid flush and does not include a pan removal or filter change.
