Re: Problem with password change

Check your manual if you have the option to change your password. Also try if there is a reset switch; dont do thiese unless you have properly noted down settings particular informations on ISP for your ruter to connect properly again.

Hi, I set up my router a while back, but it's giving me problems now. I can't remember my user name an password so therefore I can't resolve my router issue. Router type: Zoom X6 Ver 5.0.8-00...

Simply re-set the Router, and login as default user, and set it up again, as there is NO WAY to recover these passwords, unless you remember them :(
Above is your manual download link, it is all explained in there.

My zoom ADSL X6 works well for my ethernet. Yet

hello. with regard to your concern.. the network key is probably under the adsl x6 or at the side of the device.. if you cant see it.. try to access the setup page, but you need to know the default gateway of your adslx6, to check the ip address right click the network icon on the lower right taskbar of your computer and select on status, select support and it will show the details.. ex. your default gateway is, pull up a brower and at the url, type the default gateway, then it will ask for the username and password.. after entering the username and password.. go to the wireless setting and it will show there the network key..

DSL Flashing

You dont need both. Do the following:
Unplug your speedtouch from the phone line at the back of the speedtouch unit. Plug that cable into your Zoom. Then plug one end of an ethernet cable into router and one end into your PC. Type into a web browser (eg. Firefox or Internet explorer) username/password is admin/zoomadsl go to basic setup and input your ISP username and password (the one given to you by your internet provider) under PPP. Click configure my connection. Save changes and then write to flash (both buttons on bottom of page)

Zoom X6 wireless router

Hi, With or without the firmware update, the wireless should work and be indicated with the WLAN led. Have you done an update? Have you tried a hard reset? Most routers would require a reset to default after a firmware update. Pls be reminded that when you do a hard reset, all configuration would be lost, better log them down or do a backup. Alternately, you can check your router's web based configuration manager, apparently, there is an enable/disable feature/selection for the WLAN. Verify that is set to enable. Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turned out or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.
