Question about Panasonic PT-47WX49 47" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Blue flesh All of the people are smurfs. Apart from them, I can see a lot of blue but also red, yellow and green so I would think that the guns are all working. Yet flesh tones are all blue

I have a Samsung HLN507W, that suddenly shut off, now the picture is red, yellow, blue....No green

You've lost your green lite it probably went out or you blew the fuse. Google for info to get lite and where the fuse is if necessary . TVs need red blue and green guns or you get what you have. The bulbs for those sets are very expensive or use to to be maybe not so much anymore

No Red color at all. The convergence feature does not work either. Lots of green and blue RCA Model D52W59

Red color gun has failed, which will make the picture over saturated with the other two colors(blue, green) the bad news is the three color guns need to be replace in a set(all at the same time) because if you only replace the red it will over saturate the older blue, green guns then your picture will be mostly red.Unfortunently in most cases it's not worth the investment, better off to purchase a new tv. Good luck !

No color hues

Have you tried more than 1 source? If this only happens with 1 source- if you're using component cables (green, blue, red) then make sure there is nothing wrong with it. Another thing that can cause this, is a component (RGB) device being plugged into a composite a/v input (yellow white and red).
If this fails, or if the problem is with all sources, the TV is the problem and probably won't be easy to diagnose or repair yourself.. I'd call the manufacturer if this is the case.

Red and yellow ghosting.

this would be because your color guns are off. The green and blue are still alright which makes the green but the red is off so it makes the red shadow. A quick and cheap fix, just call a repair guy. wouldnt reccomend a diy since its something easy to mess up.

Color going

your colour guns (that's what they call the light tubes that produce the 3 main colours, red/green/blue) need to be fixed. One or two of your guns need to have the liquid that protects the lens flushed out. I had the same thing and the repair man came in took the unit apart and removed one of my light guns (blue one) and showed me the dis-coloured liquid. He drained the liquid and added new clear liquid which protects the heating of the gun and everything was perfect again.
