Lamp model #wd 52525 yr 2004 there is a dud

Lamp model #wd 52525 yr 2004 there is a dud switch, does this mean that the make and year are problematic? A repair technician in town told me he found the lamp and can order it but I bought the television used for $325.00. The replacement is $250.00 when all is done. The lamp indicator on the television tells me that this is something th manufacturer preppared for. Do these lamps burn out often

Depending on amount of use and how many on off cycles. Its not good to turn these sets on and off within short periods of time. The lamp only lasts a couple years. This is all DLPs. Dont know what you mean by dud switch, there is a switch that is closed when the lamp door is secured. DUD usually refers to the old lamp much like a CORE that refers in rebuildable auto parts. The old lamp housing can be relamped.

Mitsubishi wd60735 code 37

A 37 error code means one of your fans is bad. It would either be the DMD fan, or the lamp fan. Take the back cover off of the set and tape down your lamp safty switch. Turn the TV on and see which fan is not working, and replace.

WD-52525 will not turn on, Flashing Red light.

if that is a dlp tv . not shure just by model. but if it is then they do have a lot of problems with vented filtor capacitors on power supply and other boards. magor work unless you replace chassis. but the very first thing to try is lamp and make shure cooling fans and vents are clean. J.D.W.

Timer light keeps blinkin!! i unpluged it and plugged back on and it does the same wat do i do

This would be a result a of your lamp going out. You will need to replace your lamp and reset the timer.

The Following are a couple of sites that have lamps for your model of TV.

http://www.bluestar-online.com/Mitsubishi_Model_WD_52525_Replacement_DLP_Lamp_p/wd-52525.htm?gclid=COS58_Xr05sCFSENDQoduFtFDA

http://www.purelandsupply.com/GeneralSearch.aspx?search=mitsubishi%20wd-52525

Make sure you reset the timer on your TV or it will continue to blink.

Mitsubishi WD-52525 52-inch DLP HDTV ywllow warning lamp light

that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life.
sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours

What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away

or just simple replace the lamp. 915P020010

No picture

Lamps have been known to burn out the power supply to the DM assembly. If there is no visible damage to the lamp, your problem may be the power supply or the board. Good luck.
