Hello: Is your wireless indicatior lit up. There is a button on the left hand side for turning the wireless on and off, make sure its in the on posistion. Also try going into the Bios setup and turning the wireless adapter off. Reboot machine with it off in bios setup. shutdown the computer an reenabel it in the Bios and save the settings, make sure the switch is turned on also. Check you system information screen and see if its reconizing the wirless adapter.
Also check Toshiba"s website for any updated drivers for the adapter it detects in system Information. Run the wireless setup wizard.

Satellite p35 will not go to wireless

Might not have a wireless card installed ??

If your Toshiba Satellite notebook computer is equipped with a wireless Internet card, you can connect to a Wi-Fi access point by turning on the wireless switch on the side of the laptop.
However, the signal may not always be picked up by your wireless receiver; if that is the case, you will need to check your wireless-network settings and reconfigure the network connections manually.

Open the Network Settings program. Click on the Control Panel in your "Programs" bar and select "Network Settings."
This will give you options for modifying how you connect to the Internet.
Select "Connect to a Network" or "Show Network Status and Tasks."
Both selections will show you whether you are disconnected from the wireless network.

Select "Manage Network Connections."
This selection is located on the left side of the window; clicking on it will show you whether you are connected to a local area connection or wireless network connection.

Engage the wireless connection.
Turn your wireless switch to "On," then right-click on the wireless network connection.
Select "Connect/Disconnect."

Wait for the IP address acquisition.
It may take a few minutes for your Toshiba Satellite to pick up the signal and transmit your IP address.
When this is complete, you will see the word "Connected" next to the name of your wireless connection, and a series of bars that indicate signal strength.
Launch your favorite browser to access the Internet using the wireless connection.

Toshiba laptop will not pick up my wireless belkin router except when I am attached to ethernet cable

Do you have the belkin configured for wireless? Do other laptops in the house pick up the belkin?

Did you have the wireless switch on the laptop turned on?

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look onboth sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can togglethe wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN functionkey located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit willhave the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a towerwith the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will displayWireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

Toshiba Laptop Tecra8000 PentiumII 266MHz,can you put a wireless card in this?

Hi you can but they are expensive to buy and not that reliable if you want it to pick up your wireless signal the best option would be to buy one of those usb wireless dongles these have a lot more range on them and gives you better speed. these dongles can be bought for next to nothing for the well known auction site or you can get one from your local computer store, they are cheap to buy and as soon as you plug them in you can pick up all wireless signals.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Toshiba portege A600 notebook. wireless

unless you have a wireless router in your home; the msg "windows cannot find any wireless networks"

means any network in your area is too far away, or has a signal so weak your laptop is not picking it up as a viable source.

visit . www.filehippo.com and DL a file called Ccleaner. Run this program - it will clean all your internet caches and junk files, then run the registry cleaner. Reboot.
This can keep you from connecting.

Also try moving to different areas in your home and refreshing your wireless search.

if you are worried your wireless card may not be working properly, take it to a place like mcdonalds, or anywhere that has free wi-fi offered. if you still can not pick up a signal there you have narrowed it down to your wireless adapter.

you can also try this little program. Easy Wi-fi radar found here

I have a Toshiba L25 laptop and a D-Lin Air DWL-650 wireless card. I'm not getting the best connection with the wireless card while my other computer has a much stronger signal. I'd like a recommendation...

im assuming its a cardbus adapter right? well that model is a wireless b signal, which isnt very strong, so any wireless g model should have a much stronger signal. it doesnt matter which one it is, as long as its wireless g, which most new cards are. hope this helps, goodluck

My toshiba satellite x205-s9349 cannot connect to internet

Despite wireless connections being susceptible to EMI, bluetooth signals do not tend cause the kind of interference that would prevent you from picking up a wifi signal. You say the wifi switch is on, but the bulb is red. (It is supposed to be red, that indicates its powered on). The things to check are to see if you are detecting the wireless signal, are you inputting the proper protocols for any known established wireless Security (WEP/WPA). Are you using a wired connection to get on the internet or another computer/location?
