SOURCE: Oven not heating

Gallow, Whirlpool put out a service flash on this model concerning the TCO located in the back. Regarding oven wont heat up, control panel normal. It has to do with the TCO (thermostat fuse) located just under the vent in back and it's tripping. Since you had the elements checked out, Im suspecting this TCO. Usually when these thermostats open, they are non resetable and you don't have any heat at all. The best thing to do is check this TCO with a meter. If it shows open, thats probably the culprit. They recommend moving the new TCO over to the left about 6 inches so it is not directly under the vent. You are going to need help pulling the built in out just far enough to get at the TCO. The part number for it is 4450934. The service flash is 22-647. back.

There is a thermal fuse mounted on the back of the oven that feeds power to both elements. This fuse has open up. The control panel gets power via a different path and still lights up.

Sounds like a circuit board issue. If in Warranty, contact the manufacturer and have the controller replaced. A routine cleaning has noting to do with the normal operation of the baking or broiling function. Cleaning is disengaged after the door is unlocked and ready for general aplications.

I have a Thermador wall oven (POMW301/02) when bake is selected, heats up very slowly until the pre-heat light goes off. And then the oven light stays on but it doesn't hold the set temperature. While it...

Due to the nature of the self-cleaning cycle heating the oven to above normal temperatures what likely happened is that the temperature sensor went bad. The sensor is a small rod about 6 inches long and 1/4 inches wide that sits in the back of the oven. You can remove it from the back side of the oven which will need to be pulled from the wall. Replacing it should solve the problem.

Let me know how this works out for you.

Smoking Kenmore

Hello oliver909

You said,Smoke is coming out of the back of my gas Kenmore oven. Oven is clean - no spills/debris. Ran clean cycle and broiler did not smoke. Warmer drawer at bottom, so nothing spilled there. Soon as you turn it on, downstairs is full of smoke. Sometimes after preheat goes off, smoke clears and its fine. But I'm afraid to use it because last time I saw a flame inside.

If your afraid to use it, do not hesitate to call service. Nobody wants a fire!

Self-cleaned the oven now it doesn't heat

We had the same problem earlier this week. My husband was able to get Electrolux to cover the service call. He just kept asking for the supervisor when he call their customer service rep. It apparently is an issue ... the serviceman came out today, but we have to wait another week for him to come back with the parts (something for the electronic panel that apparently will correct the issue for future cleaning cycles).

So - insist that they pay for the service call!
