I have a Ryobi BC 30 trimmer. It runs fine but

I have a Ryobi BC 30 trimmer. It runs fine but after I start trimming I only get to trim a couple of minutes before I have no more line to trim with. I have to stop the trimmer and rethread the line and start over. This is extremely annoying having to do this every couple of minutes. What could be the problem?

Are you using the proper size line? Check the ends of the spool. It will give you the size you need. Also while you are checking, locate the arrow that shows the direction to wind the line. Hope this is of some help...Lee

Ryobi hedge trimmer found a sharp noise coming from driven motor. It started during a trimming job. Sounds like a sand between two reciprocating blades, but I am more afraid of a motor issue.

Either get the necessary tools or consider repair/replacement.

See if you can remove the blade and run motor to see if noise still continues.

My trimmer stopped working in the middle of trimming my yard. I now can no longer pull start my Ryobi Trimmer (ry30550). Cord seems to be stuck.

Did you have the proper fuel/oil mix? I just had one that had the piston seize in the cylinder. After taking it apart and loosening the piston, I made sure of the mix and now it runs okay. You may have to get some gaskets that will break during dismantle. Hope this helps...Lee

Ryobi 775r gas trimmer stalling when tilted

You have a air leak between to tank and motor. Could be carb gasket. When using in tilted position you dont have gravity feeded carb anymore, causing air to be sucked into carb. Take off carb and spray with crb cleaner, then blow out with air gun. Replace gasket, make sure all new lines and bulb connections are connected securely.

Weed eater shut down once I began to trim

Youwill need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner.Make sure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to seedaylight through it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.

MY RYOBI BC 30 WILL NOT RUN WHEN I SET TO C FULL

Check the fuel lines for cracks/breaks. If they are o.k., then:

You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen is free of debris. (Should be able to see daylight through it.)

Use a Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152),to clean the small portals in carb. These portals can become blocked. Reassemble and start.

If the carb. parts are more than 4 years old, you may have to replace them.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.
