Question about Whirlpool LER4634J Electric Dryer

Whirlpool comercial quality super capacity dryer does not heat up? I have looked at the heating element and it does not show any signs of damage or overheating. What else should I look for?

Visual inspection can be decieving, if you have access to the heater ohm it out
check it for continuity,
its really the only test that is foolproof.
if that passes, i would make sure you have proper voltage at the posts.

My whirlpool ultimate care heavy duty super capacity dryer is not heating at all ,I tested the heating element for continuity , & have none , so this means the heating element is bad?


yes if you do not have continuity that meens the element is bad. just to be sure you may want to double check meter to make sure it is working properly, or check element for visual damage

Whirlpool Cabrio - How do I tell if my heating


If you are comfortable useing a volt meter and a ohm meter I can walk you throught the steps otherwise you need to call a repairman, If you are not getting any heat and the tumbler is turning it is possible the element is bad again only a test meter can tell for sure or you can take the dryer apart and look at the element to see if it is broken make sure the power is turned off at the breaker first also unplug the dryer.

Check element and thermostat, element reads about 32 ohms with multimeter if ok.

Turns on but doesn't heat up


most likely heating element needs to be replaced.most can be accessed by removing back panel. also a thermostat switch may be faulty.
