You need to be more specific. The problem is you've put the lock together incorrectly, but there's a thousand ways to do it wrong, and each mistake has an individual repair process. As much information as possible is needed to help you fix this.

Hi,
Try this ... Take a clear bag that you can get both hands in and still work. Take just your lock (not the whole door handle) and a screw driver into the bag and remove the the cover plate that keeps the springs in place ( being careful not to damage it ) it will slide off or will pop off. The bag catches all the springs and pins that will fly. Just dump in to the bag.

Now just re key and replace the top pins, springs and cover plate.

I hope this Helps,

The key wont turn in the door lock of my 2004 Ford Escape and the electronic locking mechanism doesn't work unless the key is in the ignitionl. How can I get into my car?

It's not going to seem very helpful, but the only way that you'll be able to take care of this is to manipulate the lock from the inside. This is, of course, assuming your keys are stuck inside your car. If not, attempt unlocking the door by physically using your keys.

If your keys are locked in your vehicle, use the AAA wedge on the door and attempt to retrieve the keys -- they physically will be able to manipulate the lock. If the keys are gone, you could attempt wedging the door open and using a metal or plastic bar or plate to bypass the lock on the door itself (passing it between the door closing mechanism and the frame of the vehicle). If you're desperate, and don't have the keys anyways, it may just be time to break a window and do things the old fashioned way.

04 tahoe liftgate will not lock

Make sure key is in the center locking position when removed. May have bad lock mechanism or lock mechanism was jammed shutt befor closing. You can take a screwdriver and pry out the lock latch while turning mechanism with key. Mechanism should pop open and lock should work. Do you have power locks? have someone work the switch as you attempt to free up mechanism with screwdriver.

How i can enble function key

HP laptops have the ability to lock the blue special function keys on, making numerical data entry easier on laptop models that do not have the room for dedicated numerical keypads. Because the key combination to lock the function keys is so simple, however, it is easy for those who wouldn't normally use this ability to do so accidentally. When the function keys are locked, pressing certain keys will result in numbers being typed rather than letters. Unlock the function keys to alleviate this issue.

Press the "Fn" and "Num Lk" keys on the keyboard simultaneously. The "Number Lock" indicator light should turn off, indicating that the letter keys will once again type letters when pressed. This combination should work on the majority of recent HP laptops. If it does not, try one of the alternate key combinations in this article's remaining steps. Press the "Fn" and "F11" keys simultaneously, then attempt to type a letter. If the combination does not work, continue to the next step. Press the "Fn" and "Scroll Lock" keys simultaneously, then attempt to type a letter. Continue to the next step if this does not work. Press the "Fn," "Scroll Lock" and "F11" keys simultaneously.

Ignition and steering wheel on 1996 Corsica are locked.

Your key or the lock cylinder may be overly worn, to the extent that the key no longer moves the pins to the correct positions to allow the cylinder to rotate.

Assuming that the lock cylinder hasn't been progressively getting more difficult to turn, you may be able to aggressively rotate the steering wheel against the lock back and forth while attempting to rotate the key to disengage a frozen steering lock.
