Question about Nikon Coolpix 775 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Reset the camera?

Is there a way to reset the camera? It takes about 4-12 sec. to record a picture, and it is getting slower.
Somebody said to defrag. the camera, never heard of this. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,
Kelly

The problem may be with your memory card. Try a "low level" format of the card in your camera. If this doesn't work, recommend trying a different memory card.

I can't get my camera to take a picture. I have the scan disk in and the battery and everything set but when I take a picture it will not show me the picture.

Did it record to the disk? Can you play back other previously recorded disks? Did you reset camera electronics to factory defaults?

Hi,
E:91:01 is Flash error code and this error code comes when Flash Circuit doesn't work.
Camera needs Flash Circuit replacement and part number is as follows...

Above said Flash Circuit is available in Part Store.
Good Luck.

Reprograming vcr recorder and tv for sec. camera after power outage.

I would unplug all components, wait a few minutes, then plug them in. If this doesn't work, I would check the settings on the VCR and ensure it did not reset to channel 4.

My Sony Steady Shot DSC-H5 says "recording" when I am taking regular pictures. Uses up the memory stick quite quickly, although it lets me take about 30 pictures...!!! Doesn't actually record,...

There are some multi burst programs etc which show RECORDING, but actually store pictures. You can always do a reset you know (initialize from the camera SETUP menu) - that should help.

Picture comes out dark

Reset you cam settings: Take the batt out for longer than 10 sec and reinsert them.

Find a link between the SCN that are dark and blurry and the ones that aren't. Is it when using flash taking pics outside or inside in certain modes etc.

You can add memory to your camera by purchasing an xd memory card.
Compatible cards
xD-Picture Card (16MB – 1GB)
There are two ways to record the pictures you take with this camera.
Recording pictures to the internal memory
• Pictures are recorded to the internal memory, and when the number of storable still
pictures reaches 0, you must connect the camera to a computer to download the
pictures, and then erase the pictures from the internal memory.
Using an xD-Picture Card (optional)
• Pictures are recorded to the card when inserted in the camera. When the card is
full, you download the pictures to a computer, and then either erase the pictures
from the card or use a new card.
• Pictures are not recorded to the internal memory when a card is inserted in the
camera. Pictures in the internal memory can be copied to the card using the
[BACKUP] function.

• If you use a non-Olympus card or a card used for another application, such as for
a computer, the message [CARD ERROR] is displayed. To use this card with this
camera, use the [FORMAT] function to format the card.
