There is some type of system short. If you read the keyboard instructions it will probably have an "important" note telling you not to unplug the keyboard while in the "on" position. Some how this shorts the connection port. Seems as though Casio could prevent this from happening. I got a refund and went with another brand.

Try this out- check for a blown fuse. If you have never done this before, here is a simpler step by step procedure-
1. If you have the tools and little bit of adventurous spirit, I would suggest you open the keyboard and check for a fuse (a small glass tube with a metal wire running through it).
2. Pull it out and look at it against a light source (like a window) check if the wire if cut (that means the fuse is blown).
3. If it is not blown, put it back, if is blown find a shop that sells it- an electronic spare part shop that stocks stuff for TV, and computer spare will have it). Get a new one and put it in.
4. Try plugging the adapter again.
