I have checked the gears underneath and see no missing teeth for the bobbin part. The bobbin "seat" does raise, but does not engage. Thanks

My bobbin in my Singer sewing machine 4522 case will not click back in. It is a Singer model 4522. It had been stored and unused for a while. I oiled it up and bought new Singer clear plastic bobbins.

Did you get Class 66 bobbins? See https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/singer-4522-sewing-machine-parts.aspx?index=19 . Singer sewing machines use a variety of different bobbins.

I hope this helps.

(I have an older Singer Touch N' Sew. Those bobbins are easy to spot. Newer machines can use Class 15, Class 15J or Class 66 bobbins, https://www.singer.com/sewing-resources/complete-bobbin-guide . Some machines can only use either the plastic or metal bobbins of a particular size. Others can use either metal or plastic bobbins.)

How to thread bobbin 451 Pfaff

Having difficulty even locating a photo of the 451. Assuming this is an older model, perhaps this manual will help. It says its also for the 551, so perhaps the model is close enough that it will help you with your machine:

If you are unable to figure out the bobbin winder, you may be able to use a standalone bobbin winder (one brand is called Sidewinder) from the fabric store. They run ~$25-30. Just be sure to bring a bobbin with you to check the fit.

Singer golden touch and sew model 630

This series of machines was nicknamed "touch and swear" and "sew and throw", as well as other, less polite, names, because the bobbin winding system is so touchy. Try a couple of new bobbins, and if that doesn't work, consult the nice folks at the yahoo group "wefixit": https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/wefixit/info Most of the time, though, a new bobbin fixes this particular issue.

I have a Singer Touch N Sew Model 636. The

I had a Golden Touch 'N Sew many years ago and as the machine aged and parts became worn, step 4 of this bobbin winding diagram started to become a problem and I had to sometimes try several times before the "tabs" would release. If they did not release, the machine "thought" it was still winding the bobbin and would not sew.

Singer touch n sew 750 winding bobbins

You can find Singer bobbin winding instructions at http://www.singerco.com/resources/bobbin_wind.html.
"Birdnesting" occurs when there is no tension on the needle thread to pull the bobbin thread. This is easily corrected by rethreading the machine, following the threading path carefully and making sure the thread is fully engaged in the tension mechanism.

Bobbin filling on Singer 626

The Singer 626 has a self-winding bobbin. You place the empty bobbin in the bobbin thingie (sorry for being so untechnical). On the left of the bobbin you will see a "lever" with a circular top on it (I think it is red-ish) Again, sorry for being so untechnical. Press the "lever" down. Thread your machine, thread the needle, wrap the excess thread from the needle around the knob that tightens the needle and holds it in place and press your foot down on the foot pedal. The bobbin will automatically wind as you hold the foot pedal down. Do not wind the thread onto the bobbin past the outer white line.
