Question about Apple iPod nano
You need to reset it, just hold down the middle button and the "menu" button for about 7-8 seconds, or until the apple logo appears.

plug it into itunes and see if it resets

Resync it with iTunes, you may need to reset it to defaults, but syncing usually works.
