All of the buttons of my PSP suddenly stopped working: Be sure that you during playing you have accidentally slide the power button into the Hold position Update the firmware and it should take care of the problem: http://www.us.playstation.com/support/systemupdates/psp

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

When I turn it on it says "Sony Computer Entertainment" then goes to a white wavy default screen. From there it is unresponsive unless I take the battery out. Any ideas?

I think this is the default setting (for it to startup and go to the white screen) it may be that it is set to automatically start UMD if one is inserted I don't know whether this may be the case perhaps it can't read the disk so it continually tries to read the disk,if you have a disk in remove it and then try if it works go to system settings and turn UMD autostart off.Although if what I say is right then it possibly can't read games.

Ok,I dropped my PSP and evertime I turn it on,it goes to the "Sony Entertainment"thing, then goes to the moving wave background and stays that way.I have to remove the battery to turn it off.

Hi,

Pull out the battery again and before you put it back on press and hold the select button. While holding the select button, go ahead and turn it on. Still hold the select button say 45 seconds after switching on.

No menu

Try removing the UMD media and then turning on the PSP. This is because when there is a UMD in, It wants to at least know whats in, and most likely, your UMD drive or your UMD disc is damaged.
