Question about Thermador SC302T Electric Double Oven
Our Thermador SC302T gets stuck at 100 degrees. This will be the 4th or 5th repair in 8 yrs. I've been told by the repairman there is a high temperature sensor that shuts it off ( pretty ridiculous for a self cleaning oven that hits 500+ degrees). It can only be reset so many times and then then the "panel" needs to be replaced. Any ideas how to reset it my self - I will never by one of these again!! I've spent more in repairs than I paid for the oven.
Sounds like you have a real POS on your hands. I would chuck it and get another unit rather than waste any more time and money on this Thermador.

I also had this problem about 11 years ago. A repair person came, pulled the oven out about 6 inches and inserted a pointed tool (an awl or skewer works great) and reset the oven. He then tried to charge me for this!! On my oven it just looks like a tiny hole. It works every time! And yes, my oven never works again after I clean it without doing this. Good luck.

I had the same problem, I think it took place when my cleaning person washed it as the motherboard and lcd have very little protection form the top of the oven.. where it would be wiped down

iodine, open the upper oven, look thru the grill below the control panel on the right side and there is your model number. The issue here is that when the power came back on the oven run thru a test and your lower lock motor has failed. It will need to be replaced. Yes the only way to stop this is to shut off the breaker.

Please see post by bonanzsapilot on 14 March 2009; he gives exact & easy to follow directions for making this repair for <$10. It's listed uner 'Thermador SC301IT oven - FixYa'. In a separate post I added the correct capacitor numbers from Newark.com. I made the fix in abt 30 min & it's good as new. Thermador no longer makes control panels for this oven & no wiring diagram is available to help. Shop price was estimated at $500.
