Problem for Alpine CDM-9821 CD Player

No sound on either radio or cd

I replaced the heater core in my vehicle. Put the dash all back together , everything works except the radio/cd. It has power and when it is turned on, there is some statice but then no sound for either radio or cd. I can't find any loose wires and have pushed reset switch.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
