If slowness appears to be solely related to this software, your system may not meet the system requirements of the software.
Try closing all other programs including those running in task bar (lower right corner) like screen savers, instant messengers and the like.
If running the software alone is still slow, more RAM (memory cards) could possibly help. Post again if you need help with RAM. Be sure to include make and model of computer.
