Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

AR won't read any games anymore!

Suddenly it won't read anything - it just states insert game cart. This is, of course, when I already have a game inserted. Any help out there? Do I just need a new one?

Have you tried updating the AR firmware to the most recent update. That should work. If not try reinstalling it with your disk that the AR came with

My dsi action replay won't work on my dsi but it works on my ds. Why is that?

I heard that the DSi prevents the AR from working because of a kind of security system.

After you insert the AR device and turn on the system, you'll see the "Insert Game Cart" message blipping across the screen. From there you have to remove the AR device while your system is on and replace it with your desired DS game cartridge and then the "Start/GO" button will appear, fully functional and ready to operate.

Don't even bother trying to get the Code Manager to smarten up, just add and edit your desired codes manually from there on. After all newer software on the dsi when compared to the ds so datel may have to make a new AR for the dsi or.... ur AR may be bust as datel's build quality is not the best. So try the AR on older ds's if it works thn new sofware prevents it so you may have to buy a specific AR or if it dosnt work on a old ds thn u know u got a knackered up AR device.

R4 cart not working with Action Replay

There is no need for AR if your R4 works.
R4 should allow AR codes inside, thus you don't need the AR since it is built in your R4.

My Action Replay doesn't read games

It seems as though you don't have pokemon platinum on the code list.
Add it from action replay code manager and add the codes.
(first get the master code of what version of pokemon platinum you have)

AR won't recognize game cart

This is a hardware problem, and there is no doubt about it. I would call the support number that should be listed on the product's box, and I would see if there are any ways to fix this. If not, you may have to just buy a new one. Sorry :(

My ar won,t read my games anymore

Maybe you've just used it's last use. AR Readers never liked to cooperate with me when I wanted them to though. I always tried to get them to work but either it wouldn't read or the games would freeze before I got a chance to save. AR Readers are not supported by nintendo so they arn't always the best. The best I can tell you is that if oyu have a can of air, spray it out. There might be something in the slot. you didn't specify if this was a game you'd used it on before or not though. If it was a realitively newer game for you, then you should update your AR and try again. I believe that is possible by hooking your computer up to your AR. I'm not sure if any drivers are required for that or if it does it automatically. If worse comes to worst, AR readers arn't that expensive if your useing a gameboy one. Maybe 5-10 bucks. Ebay maybe. If it's DS then it'll run you 20 bucks but that investment is up to you. I hope your AR Reader starts to work again. :)

Action Replay freezing and not reading.

This is one of those sucky problems that I don't really know how to fix but I do know kinda what to do. For me it's probably just lucky but I turn off my DS. Leave it be for a while. Make sure everything is cleaned out well. No grim or crud in there. Slowly put in back in, don't scape anything with it. Insert the game before putting the AR Reader into the DS. I always have my DS set to not read automatically though. If it doesn't load now then try again a few more times. You may need to inves tin a new AR Reader though.

(Btw, it's okay to cheat on games every now and then. I wouldn't make it a habit though. It gets adictive and sometimes the game gets boring way too fast. I never use the AR Reader until after I've beaten the game.)

AR will not read my games.

I have this problem too and I am trying to find a better way to fix this, but here's a simple solution so far:

1. Put in your AR and go the the code menu for you game.
2. Select any codes you want to use.
3. Take out the AR and insert the game.
4. Press the START icon that should now be showing.

NOTE: If the game being played is reset or you used Soft Reset the codes turn off.

Try pushing the DS cart out of the Action Replay cartridge about a millimeter.
