Just bought a refurbished D610 w/webcam... not getting a picture.. is there something I need to setup?

You need to install a program that uses the webcam such as Skype. If that doesn't work then you must go to the Dell Support website ( http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs ) and find the drivers for your webcam of your laptop. This should do the trick.

I don't have the CD to download the driver for my Winbook Webcam dc 6120. I am trying to find one online to download, but just getting the run around. Can you help me?

You should be able to visit http://www.winbookcorp.com/ and at the bottom of the page, select your WinBook model. It will give you a list of the various series, then just select yours and click the "Drivers" link. Locate the necessary driver, download/install it, and you should be golden!

Hi, I have a TRUST WB-3400T 14383 and after I upgrade my OS to Win7 unfortunately this webcam is not recognized anymore by the OS. I downloaded specific driver from the TRUST support site (14383-02_02)....

please download the drivers for that webcam and it will start working some devices are pre-installed and thats the reason you don't have to install them by installing the new drivers your web cam will start working fine.

Microphone of Dell latitude D610 not working

The D610 has two audio jacks. The one closest to the monitor has a picture of a microphone above it, and the one closest to the user has a picture of headphones above it. Do you have your microphone plugged into the correct jack?

Trust Hires wb-3420n can't get it to work with Skype

Normal 0 See section A. Skype in the info below to setup the Audio & Video.
Also send this to your family and friends so they have their computer setup properly.
Web Camera's have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype

set it up as follows:
Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera, if Installed Properly, it will come up and show a video picture.
Then, on the bottom of the page click save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and hear you.

B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger

set it up as follows:
Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on "Open the call setup assistant" and follow the instructions on the left window.
Hope this helps. Bud
