My hyundai plasma turns on, but has no sound or picture. It's a 2006, Model E420D.

Power supply is likely but if master power and not just the regular on off has to be used set is having a control problem. Power supply would be first place to look---even if green light remains no sound might mean control (main board) or power supply issue.

If the green light comes on it sounds more like the inputs ... check that its on the right AV mode and the inputs are all plugged in properly and working.

I had the same problem on my 61" RCA TV... The switch for the power/channel changing buttons seems to be a faulty product... However if you are a little technical you can open up the front of the TV and disconnect the button panel from the tv and just use the remote to operate it.

No Picture & No sound. Red LED, Green LED, Red LED.

If the power supply outputs are good! Then I would say the back light inverter is bad! If the screen stays black and does not come on.

INTERMITTENT PICTURE AND SOUND

You were told correctly, you have a bad lamp. When the lamp gets old, the reflector becomes cloudy and instead of reflecting the light, it converts it into heat. As the lamp heats, it draws more power, eventually too much power and the set "recycles" because the lamp is drawing too much power. Replace the lamp, use an original Sony lamp as the aftermarket replacements are known troublemakers. If the bulb fixes the problem (and I know it will because I fix these TV's everyday) be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!

I have a Sony KDS-R60XBR2 60" SXRD and the power/standby light flashes green 96 times than it switches to a RED lamp light that flashes steady. Do you know what it means?
