Question about HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

C3180 The other day I clicked on "print" and the ink cartridges slammed hard to the left in the printer. Now the lights are blinking on the black cart. telling me there is a problem with it. I even bought a new one and put it in and got the same lights blinking. I'm thinking when it slammed hard its knocked it out of whack with lining up with the cartridges. Do you think this is what happened? Is it worth getting fixed when you can buy another one for $65? I've got a bout four each of the ink cartridges so I'd like to stay with the same printer. Thanks, Rick

Bought used Photosmart C3180 printer. Need to know how to insertcartridges. Thanks

for this particular printer, there are two slots, one with a green triangle and another with 2 different shapes. The left one is for colour and the right for black ink.
First you want to pull the desired cartridge out by putting a finger on both top and bottom and it should literally slide out (if it doesn't first time lift it up slightly first). Save the cartridge for future refill and the cartridge you want to put in you hold the same way and again from the bottom just literally slide it in. You should be able to click it in once it is all the way - this indicates it is in correctly, the printer should now run a test print

Will not print. color ink cartridge light keeps

..."Open the ink supply andgently move the ink cartridges to the left. Then reach in to the rightside and you'll find a small (1/2 x 1 inch) sponge. Push it down andoff/on the machine. try it now. or ...go to where I found out more than I should know about Canon's and where I got my quote... good luck.

All lights keep blinking!tried unplugging and reinstalling.Dead?

If the Resume c00121686.jpg light continues to blink and the print cartridge cradle does not move to the right side of the printer, try these solutions:
  • Remove and reinstall the print cartridges. Verify that the print cartridges are in the print cartridge cradle before pushing them forward into position.
  • Verify that no obstruction prevents the print cartridge cradle from moving freely on the rod.
  • Verify that the vinyl tape has been removed from each of the print cartridges.
If the problem persists, contact HP Customer Care.

HP Photosmart all in one C3180

My suggestion: Don't buy HP. I have the same region coding problem. All I want to do is buy HP ink, put it in my HP printer and print stuff. Too hard. I've wasted 30 pounds on ink and another 30 pounds on "support" phone calls to HP. Hopeless. I will never buy HP again. Waste of time and money.
