I have a red green and blue screen after an update. its frozen. what do i do?

Videocard, obviously

Replace it or pay lots of $ to fix. unless its still under warranty, than they can fix or replace it.

Is this a recent problem, or old quirk?

where are you getting that error message, on the pc or the 3100

Your phone is stuck in bootloader mode, it seems that you may need to reinstall your phone OS on your phone.

Go to the HTC site and download your phone's OS files/installer:

Follow the installer's instructions after you've downloaded the needed file.

when battery is installed the screen shows 4 even space bars...the top one red, then green, blue and white with the word "bootload v 0.24" in the red bar and "SD" in the green bar and its frozen there. I've tried soft reset, system reset, and hard reset...nothing works.

The exact same thing just happened to me too! Tried soft and hard reset. Nothing.

Intermittently displays bright red/green/blue raster then shuts down with led flashing 2, 4 or 5 times
Amazingly this was due to the CRT being faulty !

Check and replace on crt module : D702, D703, D704 (all 1N4148) replace with type 1N4948T

Dead, led flashing red/green at first, then going to red standby
Replace C604 (1000uF, 16v) elec. cap. It is in the decoupling circuit for the 5 volt supply

How did the repairman prove the blue CRT is bad ? Did he cover
the CRT leaving a good red & green video with no flickering or did
he cover the red & green and observe the flickering in blue...?
Did he discuss the hyper module with you ?.........T.
