Usually on the back of your laptop an year of make is printed.. Also if you go to Laptop make website and provide them serial number you might be able to get the complete specification of the laptop model which surely includes make date.

HOW DO I PAIR A NEW LGHBS780 WITH 6 MOS OLD HP LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS 10

You need to check the Old Laptop Bluetooth version.
I can assume that LGHBS780 is Version 4 or above.

If you Laptop is very old Bluetooth version like 1 or 2.
You can Buy USB Bluetooth with support version 4...Its Cheap on Ebay...and Install it.

My new laptop see the toshiba sata mk1646gsx from my old -damaged- laptop but i can't use it when i connect it by USP conection, because it has password, how can i use my old hard didk

Your old hard disk may have been password protected (it may have the same BIOS password that was used on your old laptop). To access the data on the old hard drive, enter the hard disk password and if it is correct, you will get access to the data on the old hard drive.

My screen light just turned off, but i can barely see my desktop and the taskbar. what happened?

sounds like either the ccfl tube died or your inverter died, a easy way to test this is to take a old working laptop, remove the screen bezel on both laptops and dissconnect the plug leading to the screen (usally a pink and white wire cable and connect the cable from the hp to the inverter on the old laptop, power on both laptops and if the hp screen lights up then the inverter on your hp is dead, this is not uncommon on laptops and if you ever get a new laptop try to get one with led backlight technology, if the inverter from the old laptop has the same plugs, put it into the hp, otherwise order a new on

Hello My laptop has died and i need to transfer everything on my hard drive to my new laptop. Is this an easy task and is it possible. Please HELP !!! Thanks Chris

hi thanks for using fixya!

what happened to your old laptop? you cannot turn on anymore your old laptop? I suggest that you bring your laptop to a service center so that they can open it, and remove the hard disk from the old laptop then they can connect it by using USB cable then, you may copy your files to your new laptop!

If you need further assistance, let me know!

Pls rate me positively! thanks!

Motherboard died on my Toshiba Satellite A105 S4334

That is a tricky one. Guessing that you already have the new laptop, there is a usb adaptor that accepts SATA, IDE 3.5" and IDE 2.5" drives. You plug your drive into this adaptor, and plug the usb into your new computer. Now you can access all of the files on the old hard drive.

Transfer data from a dead laptop to a new laptop

Do you have a usb to SATA connector? If so you can plug the old drive into the USB slot and it will act as a slave so you can pull the contents from the old drive to the new. The adapter is about 25.00 or If it was me I would invest into a pocket USB hard drive case that you can put your old drive into perminatly so you can always have a external hard drive for back up later after yo uhave moved the data over and reformatted it. The case is $25-$40.00.

GETTING INFO FROM OLD HARD DRIVR TO NE LAPTOP.

Hard Drive requires lots of power to load. If you have purchased only the IDE cable to connect it to USB port, USB port will be unable to initialize the Hard Drive.
To make it work, you require an external casing for IDE Hard Drives with external power support. Like this one --

If you already have this casing with external power support, please let me know.
