Question about Dacor CM24P
Have had nothing but bad dealings with Dacor. After mostly using Dacor products for years, will never buy another and tell everybody about their negative customer service attitude. (Techs who have come out have been great but ther is nothing they can do).
I have had techs over many times, have spend hundreds of dollars on different fixes, have had to buy descaler, NOTHING HAS WORKED
The machine now leaks over the tray even when it is off. Has caused damage to my Snaidero cabinets. The space does not fit another coffee maker.
Dacor DISCONTINUED making this machine but will not give credit to the customers who bought them.
I am disapointed and angry that an appliance that expensive is discontinued and ther is no compensation-so that we can fix the kitchen at the least or put in another brand of coffee maker at best
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Welcome to the club of unhappy Dacor coffee machine owners. The problem you are having is the problem everyone has had. The only thing I can suggest that has worked most often for me is not leaving the machine on for very long. I think the temperature gets messed up if it is left on too long. I just use mine now for a few cups in the am and then I turn it off. I've been so frustrated with it that I have gone back to my french press. One of the posters on this site actually got Dacor to buy her machine back. I will probably try that route as well. She replaced it with a Meile and is very happy with it. Good luck!

I picked one at my local hardware store. We have a VERY good store and that has basically everything. Take the part with you to a similar store or a bearing seal place.

I had this problem too. The instruction manual says to turn the steam knob only half way counter-clockwise after pressing the button for 5 seconds, but you need to turn it ALL the way to have the procedure start (at least, that was the solution with my machine). Good luck!
