The keyboard shortcut you hit was left alt+shift. You can hit it again or leftclick on the little keyboard icon in your task bar then click on US English. Or you can change it (and remove the shortcut to change language) through the keyboard settings in your control panel.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How to type French accents in a dell laptop

Just copy and paste in the search bar.
Use the above link. It's a list of French accents using the "alt" key and a combination of numbers. I use this all the time and it works great. Good luck.

How can I calculate combinations with fx-991ES PLUS?

Use the combination function. It's the shifted function of the divide key, marked nCr. For example, to find the number of combinations of 9 things taken 3 at a time, press 9 SHIFT divide 3 = and see 84.

Instead of getting the @ symbol when I press shift +2 i get "

you need to hold down ctrl and function on the left side of your keyboard, and then hit the shift key on the right side of your keyboard. Then let go of right shift while still holding down the control and function keys, and then hit right shift again.

these blue keys are french keys. if you change your keyboard settings to english US or UK, it will get rid of the blue functions, but for some reason, they tend to turn themslves back on again after time. Most likely due to automatic updates followed by an auto restart. Also, I find that the issue only arises if I am in my hotmail account.....no issue in Word docs.

My keyboard is typing an è instead of an apostrophy

Microsoft Windows has support for "foreign" keyboards, e.g., French, Swedish.

You've managed to hit left-ALT-SHIFT to switch the "input language" from English to French.

Use "Regional Settings" within "Control Panel" to set it back to English.

Blue characters on the keyboard when I type

It is a combination of key known as "Function" (Fn, for short). You have to press it and hold while pressing other keys showing the blue letters on it. The most common use is to make a virtual Numerical Keypad on laptops, so you can perform calculations. To be back to normal mode, you need to press FN+F8 (or the key with the Calculator icon).

try hitting the left alt and the left shift button together, then try it out by pressing shift question mark. I had the exact same problem and i think you can alternate between french and english keys by hitting these two buttons together.
