Question about ASUS A7N266-VM Motherboard

A7n266-vm mobo starts up with continuous warbling tone. Have removed all ancileriies but still same.Any ideas?

1. Make sure the cpu dram jumper is not in the wrong position.

2. That mobo is very very picky. Make sure to read your manual and that your cpu is supported.

How to clear cmos in asus a7n266 mb

I had similar mobo and this is what the Asus technician told me. Take out the round battery in your motherboard and flip it around and put it back into the battery slot.(it sounds weird but that is what he said) Hold it there for 20seconds and then put back in the right way it was.

Your cmos should be cleared now. Make sure your pc is switched off when doing this.

In my Asus A7N266-VM motherboard there are problem with cemos i replaced the cemos battery but it s not working , forget the time&date and every time i have to press f1 for starting the windows

CHECK ALL CAPACITORS (3300uf - 6.3 volt).
THIS FACTORY MISTAKE PRODUCES RANDOM RESETS AND COMPLETE FAILURE IN POWER SUPPLY +5 volt rail)...Check the power supply too and see my video:

A7N266-VM MOTHERBOARD EMITS HI/LOW TONE AT 1 HERTZ. The CR2030 button cell measures just above 3 volts. The CMOS codes do not include this sound pattern. Suggestions please? Mr. Ed P.S. we never begin the...

The voltage is normal, it's a 3 volt battery.
The low tone is usually generated by a faulty memory.  How to test that (i'm assuming that the monitor is working and correctly attached): first remove the memory modules, clean their connectors and try to start again; next remove all attached hard disks and optical units and try to start it again. If it's the same (you can't enter BIOS) then use another power source and try again. Finally try it by using another memory. If even then the problem is still there then the problem is in the motherboard - replace it.

I have a problem with my Sound Drivers

Hi M8!

Go to this site, on that site you will find the audio and graphic drivers you need, you will also find all avalile drivers ther is for your MoBo, all drivers that was on that cd you lost. Download them and store them somewere safe.

try to clear (cmos) here is the way:
get to the jumper located near the cmos battery, short it for 3 seconds then return it to its normal position. start the system and load setup defaults.
