According to what I've read, you can double the original memory, but no more than that, so the max you can have on a Sansa e250 would be 4 GB (2GB internal memory and 2GB external memory). I also read that the micro SD cards holds
music only-no video.

Ok so as was mentioned its a SDHC card. and a v1 player won't play it.
you have a "v1" is your firmware starts with 01.xx.xx.xxx etc
to fix this you can "rockbox" your e260 (www.rockbox.org)
it makes the player much much better imo as well as allow it to read 8 gb sd cards.
though i have to put it in my card reader to add files not sure why but my player does read and recognize the files so thats a plus.
