Most likely your touch pad or control board is defective. Replacing the control board will fix the problem.

Dryer wont heat up

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity dryer not heating up. There are some things that you are able to try. First check to make sure that the lint filter, the ducting, and the outside vent, are clear of lint and not constricted in any way. Second, reset your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. Once power has been restored, run any cycle. If you are still noticing that your dryer is not heating, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They should be able to diagnose your dryer and determine why your appliance is not heating. Hope this is helpful.

Dryer is tumbling but no heat - when I reset it shuts off after about 10 min and the Drying, Cool Down, and Extended Tumble lights are all flashing.

Janet McDonald,

I understand that you are having trouble with your dryer not heating and not running a full cycle and shutting off with the Drying, Cool Down, and Extended Tumble lights flashing. What I suggest is to give your appliance a hard reset. You will do this by either unplugging it or cutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. After the 3-5 minutes, bring power back and try to start a cycle. If it does not complete the cycle and shuts off with the lights flashing, I suggest to either contact the manufacturer or a local appliance technician. This way you will be able to locate the cause of this issue and have it resolved.

-Best Regards-

Frigidare dryer gleq215ee won't heat then shuts off after about 10 minutes. 4 lights on right flash. no error code comes on. I am pretty handy and can take apart and fix. would need to know what t

Hello John Sterns - First, try resetting the unit dryer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. Restart unit and if it proves to be ineffective then typically this is something that a professional would need to diagnose. Since it is such a complex unit, there are multiple possible causes; faulty power cord, house wiring, defective control board, thermal limiter or door switch.

the other tstat is on front of blower housing..lift top remove screws at top of front panel from inside remove switch wires front lifts off ..be sure to ck vent first most dryers have thermal fuses that will blow if overheating does occur since yours seems to be working i would suspect vent first..if your concerned about dryer being hot to touch along top rear this is normal heating element is located just below console at rear
