Question about EliteGroup P4VMM2 Motherboard

1 Answer

Keyboard scramble I have an intermittent error when keying text in MS Word or Outlook, using a Logitech cordless access duo keyboard. All keys produce unexpected results. It usually occurs after having hit the Ctrl key. e.g. after using Ctrl← to backspace the cursor. The error for each key is consistent. querty appears as ?,.pyf To date, the only way I have discovered to correct the problem is to exit Word/Outlook and re-enter.

Re: keyboard scramble

You have different keyboard layouts installed.
Standard: qwerty, asdfgh
Dvorak: ‘,.pyf, adeuid

To prevent the keyboard from unexpectedly switching up on you, open your control panel, select Regional and Language Options.

In the Regional and Language Options dialog box, click the languages tab, select the details button at the top of the dialog box.
In the Text services and languages dialog box, under installed services: select the Keyboard United States-Dvorak service and then click the remove button, click ok, click ok.

How to clean dust under the keys of logitech keyboard?

Here are a few methods:

Find a vacuum cleaner that has a hose thar allows you to insert the hose in the exhaust end of the vacuum cleaner. Then use the air blowing out of the hose to blow the dust out of the keyboard.

If you have access to an air compressor use that to blow the dust out of the keyboard.

Places that sell computer supplies sell cans of compressed air, use this to blow dust out of a keyboard (the most common method).

If the problem is extreme the keys can be VERY CAREFULLY pried off the keyboard using a screwdriver (if you've never done this before you should try it on an old keyboard of no value to you to practice).

Hope this helps.

Writing for friend - Ethel Edmond has conquest computer and the keyboard will not type unless she holds down the key/keys down. What is the problem with stuck keys are keys that will not type

You may have filter keys enabled....
to disable:

Category view:
Start > Control panel > Accessibility options > Accessibility options > Keyboard
Classic view:
Start > Control panel > Accessibility options > Keyboard

uncheck "use filter keys" and click apply.

Also, to prevent this from happening in the future, you may want to disable the shortcut.
Click on the "settings" box and uncheck the "use keyboard shortcut" option. Press ok, apply then ok.

I hope this helps! If this did help you, please give a thumbs up!

Spacebar key and right arrow key of my MX duo keyboard was not working.

First: Have you spilled any liquids on the keyboard? If so, you may not be able to fix this.

But try a few things...

1) Get an air canister, compressor or vacuum with a nozzle. Try and ****/blow any grit and grime from under the keys.

2) Carefully remove the spacebar and arrow keys using a small flathead screwdriver. Slide the blade of the screwdriver under the edge of the key and lift it up. Be gentle, as the small mechanisms holding the keys in place can break. Once the keys are removed, clean out any dust or grime using a lint-free cloth.

3) If nothing works, go get a new can get a nice one for under 30 buckaroos.

I received a ku-0833 keyboard but no manual. What do the function key symbles mean? Also, where can I get the keyboard user's manual?

The US International English keyboard layout is recommended for those who are comfortable with the qwerty keyboard and need a variety of accent marks or symbols. It uses an intuitive method which works with most (perhaps all) Windows applications such as MS Office and web page software, while keeping the familiar qwerty layout. The installation details are below.

To use, press one of the five punctuation keys `? ~? ^ ?' ? "? , then the letter to be modified.?
' + a = ?,? " + u = ?,? ' + c = ? ? ? etc

Or use the right alt (or AltChar) key? + another key:?
right alt? + / = ¿??? + 1 = ¡???? + c = ©???? + e? = ???? +5 = €. ? This image shows many more.

Note that this system maintains the "qwerty" layout. However, the modifier keys `? ~? ^ ?' ? "? must sometimes be followed by pressing the space bar when they are actually intended. The system accepts common words, such as it's, without the space bar.

Layout Installation: Win XP:
Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, Regional and Language Options. Click the Language(s) tab. Click Details, then Add. Choose an Input language and a Keyboard Layout/IME. Use Apply to finish the process; the Windows installation CD may be needed. The keyboard or multilanguage sections in Start - Help may provide details. Screen images of the installation are here. For Win 2000 click this Carnegie Mellon site.

Windows Vista: Click Start, Control Panel, Clock, Language and Region, Change Keyboards. In the new window, click on the Change Keyboards button. This opens a new window called "Text Services and Input Languages". Click on the Add button. Scroll & check the English (United States) - United States-International keyboard. Click OK. Finally, in the upper part of the "Text Services and Input Languages" window, open the drop-down menu called Default Input Language and choose English (United States) - United States-International as your default for all input fields.

alt+shift? rotates through several language keyboards. Checking the Enable Indicator On Taskbar puts the default language on the taskbar. Or click the taskbar language icon to switch to another language. In Win XP, click the Preferences section for these steps.

hope this helps
