Question about Whirlpool Dryers
I have a whirlpool LP Dryer model #LGR5848E. When I press the start switch I hear a humming and the dryer doesn't start. I have tested the thermal fuses with a meter and the switch, all test good. I tried to start the drum turning by hand with the door switch closed but it still won't start. Does it sound like the motor is bad?
Can you turn the drum by hand.
if not i would be concerned that you have a sock or something stuck in the blower sqiral cage.
if you can turn it by hand and it sspins freely, then you may have several issues, broken belt, is where id start,
the fact that you can hear a hum say the motor is trying
