Question about GE DLSR483EE Electric Dryer

1 Answer

I have almost the same problem... but I have plenty of heat.

Seems as if i have too much heat even. You can even see the coils are red hot right after you open the dryer door. I also thought that the drum should be turning clockwise? Its turning counter-clockwise now. Isnt that wrong? Either way it takes near 3 hours to dry a load and the coils getting so hot makes me nervous.

I checked/cleaned out out. Actually had the entire exhaust vent replaced from the wall to the outside. Still having issues. Most people have said that a dryer drum should turn clockwise but mine is now turning counter-clockwise. If thats wrong.. could it be the problem? Would it affect the airflow inside the drum?

If it's takeing that long and your element (coil) is that hot your exhaust is probablly blocked it will need to be cleaned out.

I'm having the toughest time getting my mower running? I've rewired the entire machine and installed a new coil, alt. stater, carb, plug and oil. I've tried everything to get it to run.

If yours has a wiring connector at the base of the carb make sure that is working correctly. It is part of emissions control and is a common problem. There is a solenoid inside the carb that prevents fuel slow when there is no power to it.

Yamaha xt225 serow front exhaust pipe glows red within 5mins of starting also running rough

Fueling issue running far to lean, choke makes the circuit richer so it will run , lean running causes over heating and serious engine damage if its running red hot, check the plug for white burnt or blistering will show lean running. Compression test to make sure the piston ring and barrel are not damaged over 110psi. Is the exhaust blocked restricted or dented ?

The right front burner will not get hot. It is only warm never hot. The burner doesn't turn bright red even when tuned up on high.

hello, try changing that front element(burner)if its easily removable to another side that is working normal. If the element is still dull not heating or glowing normal then replace the element, but if it does, then there is something wrong with the front right element switch or the receptacle.

Coils get hot

Hi, as soon as you turn your dryer on, power is sent to these heat strips and they will glow red hot. This is normal. They will kick on and off through the drying cycle by several thermostats in the unit so it will not over heat. Nothing to worry about as you have 240 volts going to them.

Ge mini fridge seems to be overheating

the unit should have heat coming off the condenser coils on the back. some of the units have a little fan motor to help cool the condenser. make sure there is plenty of space for air flow around the unit, as this is crucial to normal operation.

Heating coil gets really red

If you are looking at the heating coil without air moving past it, then it will get very, very red, to the point of melting in two and breaking. In normal operation, there is enough air moving past the coil to keep it from getting red hot.

Uneven heat from burners

I'm experiencing the same problem, the left side has the least heat, and it seems to be getting way worse over time.  Has anyone found a solution for this yet?

Whirlpool RBS305PDQ11. After self-clean, oven won't heat up.

This seems to be a common problem with these ovens. The oven got too hot and the tco (Thermo cut off)tripped. This will have to be replaced. It is located behind the control board.
