I would suggest that the most likely fault is the door interlock has failed.
Try closing the door a bit harder than normal and give it a push around the door lock.

If it still won't work, I suggest replacing the door lock on a "fit and see what happens" basis. This wouldn't be overly expensive to do and is quite easy.

Unplug the appliance, open the door, take off the door seal retaining ring, peel off the door seal, remove the screws holding the lock, reach in and take the lock to the door aperture. Transfer the wiring to the new lock and refit the parts.

If this doesn't cure it, then it's more than likely the main control board that has failed, this is much more expensive and I'd actually recommend having an engineer come in to do this so you at least have some sort of warranty on the part and repair.

I have a small older bosch front load washer that after 3 loads ,when the door isclosed the water does not come on

I never had a front load washer but I have changed several lid switch. When the door is not closed on a top load washer a switch in the door area will shut the washer down. I did run across this on a search of front load washer..
The door lock secures the washer door shut during operation. Once the washer door is closed, the washer can begin operating. If the door lock is defective, the washer door will not latch properly. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Inspect the door lock for damage. If the door lock is damaged or does not latch properly, replace it. To determine if the door lock has failed electrically, use a multimeter to test each of the door lock switches for continuity. If one of the switches does not have continuity, replace the switch.
I saw in another post sometime the switch is under rubber
but I am just repeating what someone else said. Hope can be of some help.

Bosch Dishwasher SHX46A latch stuck in down possition.

look at the latch via the hole in the door where it closes to the tank? is the latch faced away from the tank? if so, then grab a paper clip and fold it so you can hook it around the latch then just pull outward towards the tank. you might need to hold that paper clip with some pliers. if it happens more than once then you will need to replace that door lock.

Bosch dishwasher won't latch

No you did good in ordering a latch ,that is a common issue i find with the bosch d/w, for no apparent reason the latch locks itself with the door open. Look at the door where the male part of the latch goes into the door, you will see that is locked. if you take it apart and manually unlock the latch u stand to break it. Again you did good on ordering the latch.

Can't close Bosch Dishwasher door

I had same problem and was alarmed at the idea of taking the door apart, so I tried the 2 screwdriver option described below - it works!

Open door and get two small screwdirvers behind each side of the catch inside the top of the door and gently apply pressure. The catch should reset itself on 'open' and allow you to shut the door again.

Thanks to all for their postings and helpful advice!

Door locked open

Tool: We cut a piece a wire about 10 inches long from a wire clothes hanger. On one end we bent 1/2 inch of the wire in a 90 degree angle with needle nose pliers. On the other end of wire we put another bend at least three inches.(this end will be your handle end) Process of using homemade tool to release latch: Make sure washing machine is on a wash cycle. Use flash light to locate latch in the locking catch. Insert the small bend of the tool into the locking catch. Then hook onto the latch and pull out --apply a small amount of pressure -- about three lbs of pressure) Then at the same time you are pulling, press in on the door release button (the little white button above the latch hole where you now have the wire inserted). As your are pulling with little pressure on the latch, hold the little white button in and press the start /stop button. You should hear the door lock. Let machine start working. (about ten seconds) Now push start/stop button again and you should hear door lock release. Your lock catch should give away. This worked for us.
