Question about Electrolux 24 in. EDW5505EPS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
I bought a electrolux diswasher about a year ago. When it was delivered it was DOA. I was sent a new one and 3 months later I couldn't get any electronic display on the door panel, the unit was totally dead. The repairman replaced the door. It's been another 7 months and the same problem has reared it's ugly head.Is this a common problem with these dishwashers or is the problem something other than the door? I don't know the model number because I am at work. I know I paid over $1000 for it.
Alot of times you may look at the dishwasher for the problem but i would have started with the power source from the home. always make sure you are getting 120v from your lines.there is a plug in tool that you can check to see if there is a problem with your electrical. a good electrical supply company has them. tell them you want to check the polarity,at the outlet. Start there first then let me know.

Tips for a great answer:

Hello Darlene, thank you for allowing me to assist you!
The "ER" code that keeps appearing on your Electrolux dishwasher stands for a Membrane Switch Failure. Normally that means that your control board has detected a stuck key or key pressed for more than a minute. That could possibly be an issue with your keypad or main control board. I would recommend having a technician come out to your home to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
