I have a 1gb memory card with this camera but for some reason it only lets me take 9 - 13 photos before saying the memory is full - whereas my old camera, with the same memory card, would let me take 300+!...

I don't believe your camera is writing to the's probably just using the internal memory which is very small. Here's what you need to do. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and do the "format " thing again. This will erase the card so if you have any pics on it, download them first using a card reader if necessary.

My kodak camera keeps saying that the internal

The internal memory is small. Your camera will continue to write to it until you erase the pics from it. Here's how...Remove the memory card. Download any pics you want to save from the internal memory. Go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Insert your card. It should work properly now. Promise yourself to never use the internal memory again.

Sony Cybershot - the memory stick is full

More than likely the camera still thinks the photos are on the stick, especially if you deleted the images while it was hooked to the computer. I would safely move the rest of the photos off the stick onto your computer then format the card through the camera and with the camera disconnected from the computer. this should clear the card.

For the Powershot A560:
1. Turn on the camera in playback mode.
2. Select a picture using the right or left arrow buttons on the back of the camera.
3. Press the button with an icon of a trash can.
4. A menu comes up:

Erase? Erase Cancel

5. Select "Erase", then press "FUNC. SET."

Page 18 of the Powershot A560 basic manual also explains how to erase individual images.

Page 73 of the advanced manual explains how to erase all images.

Disk full cannot finalize or transfer photos to computer

i agree with the first person. you cannot over fill a disk otherwise there is not enough room to finalise it. or does it do this with all disks? try resetting the camera on the bottom and set it back up. if you put your disk into a computer with a cdrw you can open the files from there as long as you have the dowload software installed on the same computer. just do not try to open or veiw the last photo otherwise it mayu lock up your computer.
