SOURCE: lg mw60sz12 rear projection tv

hi penny, we two have the same problem. after completly shutting down the tv and unplugging, we removed the RCA/s-video pannel from the back with the three skrews leaving all wires in tact. without touching the mother board i gently pressed in the cords beteween the back pannel and the motherboard. i also had an air compressor and blew out all the dust. PLEASE I HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED PERSONS DO THIS! touching motherboard components will not only short your tv but it will shock you at a high voltage. we then skrewed in the pannel again and after 1 mintue component along with S-Video worked. i hope this helps you

Common problems flat screen tvs

Make sure you are on the right input, make sure video signal is up and running, So if you are pumping a MAC TV or PS3 into it make sure they are up and running and input on TV is set to HDMI or DVI-I or what you need. On newer TV's some have a sensing feature that searches for a correct input and the HZ you have it set for. If you are in the USA 59-60hz will do it. Europe uses 50hz. Just check with only one device hooked up and go from there. 15 Minutes is way too long.

The screen is black and a little box that says no signal is moving around on the screen

Check your inputs. The no signal box means exactly that - there's no incoming signal for the TV to decode. So you've either disconnected a cable somewhere or turned off your input device.
Try changing the inputs on the TV (this will be a button saying input or A/V)
Try changing the channels
Check that your cables are correctly connected and that whatever you are trying to use (dvd player, PS3, etc) is turned on.
Check that your TV is tuned to the corresponding input it is plugged in to (if you plugged your DVD player into HDMI input 8, tune your TV to input 8)
Hope this helps.

The TV turns on but cannot find a signal (as has been normal when swictching to HDMI inputs). Usually it takes a second and the Cable or FIOS signal shows on screen. As of today, the images never comes...

I'm trying to connect my Polaroid 15" LCD TV (model FLM-1514B) to my Directv box and only get a blue screen on the tv.

Turn off blue screen in the menu of the TV if you can or cycle through the input sources on the remote to find the directv signal. Check cable setup in back of TV if it still does not work. Has the directv box been working with any other TV?

Picture Rolls

anteetina,

most probably your problem is within color system settings. It's either PAL/NTSC or PAL SECAM signals being produced by your player.

1) try to check your TV screen with regards to color system it use, check the color setting if it does indicate "Auto" "PAL" or "NTSC" try to choose "auto" and see if any changes will occur.

note: you can also check the service manual of your DVD player of what color system it produce and if it's match with your TV screen

cheers.

Digix Manual/diagrams do not match my TV connectors

Simplest way. ++++++++++
If you have red, white and yellow on each match those and use a cable with 3 strands - red, yellow and white ends with RCA jacks. Use the setup key to get an onscreen display to set options.  Make sure they are the video/audio OUT on the DVD not in.
On your TV it's probably Video 1 or something like that - you can usually test this by putting the cables into the front of the TV. The TV remote might have some key like TV/Video to get to the Video input screen.  Make sure you check the video-in ports on the TV - not the video/audio-out.
Option if red is missing +++++++++++++++++ If the DVD player just has yellow and white then just connect yellow and white (it will be mono) on the TV.
It shouldn't matter if the holes are vertical or horizontal.
S-video +++++++ If both TV and DVD have S-video ports then connect those - they will give you better video than the yellow.
You will still need to connect red and white sound cables.

Samsung LCD TV not receiving PC signal

Check your vga cable. Some cables have only 14 pins, some have all 15. The missing pin is pin 9, in the 15 pin cable it carries 5v from the graphics card to the screen. Without that 5v signal most LCD and Plasma television screens won't recognise a PC input. I had the same problem and only managed to fix it when my girlfriend swapped a cable over for me and as she did so glanced inside and said "it's got a bit missing" The cable that came with your PC most likely only has 14 ins as that is all a monitor screen needs.
You can buy a 15 pin cable at most PC or electronic shops, just check that isdoes have all 15 pins befiore you buy it. The cheap ones are just as good as the expensive ones unless you are buying 20 foot cable. For 6 foot cable the cheap ones are just as good as the expensive ones.

Only see a blue screen ...

Hi, The bluescreen is an indicator of "lack or absence of a video signal". In TV mode this would only come on if your reception quality is so poor that the TV "thinks" there is more interference/noise than intelligent video signal nd therefore mutes the video. In all other modes, (S Video, A/V Video etc), again, this muting action will result in the bluescreen if the TV "thinks" it is not receiving any video input. To try and fix this would either be: 1. Check and verify that you have a video signal coming into the TV by trying your video source (DVD, cable box) into another TV unit; or 2. Check and verify that your connectors at the back of the TV and the source are properly connected and are snug/fitted properly. If both fails, it is possible that you have component failure inside the TV and that would require the services of a qualified TV professional. Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
