Question about Kenmore 700 sq. in. Cooking Area Gas Grill 14116325

1 Answer

I have a Kenmore 4 burner grill that I purchased about 3-4 weeks ago. 3 of the 4 burners have nice blue flames and work very well but the left middle burner gets a huge yellow flame no matter what temp it is set on. It is charring everything including the burner itself. Suggestions?

Does the same burner flame turn blue if other burners decreast in flow-with that burner on high and others low-is it still yellow? if so Gas Valve needs to be replaced.

How do I adjust the side burner on my kenmore gas grill?

You should find an air mix adjustment for that burner. Try opening it a little, to allow more air. A yellow flame indicates too rich a mix.

The adjustment is probably behind the knob for that burner.

Only left side of burners working

If you have the Cal Flame burners that are straight, cast brass burners, there is a slot under neath the burners on the back end of the burners. This slot allows the flame to move from the left side of the burners to the right side of the burners. This slot in the burner will corrode shut and not allow the flame to move from the left to the right side. Sometimes you can scrape out the corrosion, and sometimes you can not. If you can't get the slot open, then you have to replace the burners. Cal Flame burners also have a reputation for warping.

Good Afternoon..On my Tuscany grill only 1 of the 3 burners work. looking from left to right, the left one does not work at all and the middle burner barely. No smell of gas on the 1st and very little in...

Sounds like the offending burners need to be removed, checked thoroughly for clogs and particularly the venturi valve on each burner. And while you have them out, remove the burner orifice of each burner and look for clogs.

Hope this helps you to further troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!!

Charcoal and grease build up can restrict even the best gas burners , my suggestion is to clean your gas burners with a burner tip tool . You can purchase these at Lowes or Menards . Here is a website for you to visit to get the ideal . http://www.metaltech.com.sa/victor/tips.htm

We have a spirit grill with 3 burners. I can light the grill, but burners 1 & 2 don't have a nice line of blue flame like burner 3. Burner 2 is especially bad with orange flames on the right and left...

Are you sure there's adequate gas in the tan? If so do the following:

Disconnect the LP tank from the grill hose. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect to the tank. Open the tank valve VERY,VERY SLOWLY, until it is full open. Light your burners individually and turn to highest flame setting, before lighting the next burner and so on.

If that solved your problem GREAT. Remember to turn the tank on that way in the future.
If it didn't you'll need to remove the burners and clean each one.

Hope this helped to get you back up and grilling again.

Middle burner looks ok but has huge yellow flame

Sounds to me like the new burner that was put on, has the wrong gas orifice in it. Possibly a nat gas orifice instead of a propane orifice. If it's a propane grill, take it to your local propane co and have them look at it. Also, sometimes just a spiderweb or dirt dobber nest in the burner's venturi tube can cause that kind of problem. Blow it out with an air compressor and see if that's the problem.
