How do I auto answer using Plantronics Headset (Savi W740) on a Mitel 4250 Phone?

Plantronics makes an adjunct device that attaches to the telephone base (Velcro) and can lift the handset when the button on your headset is pressed. Unfortunately that's the only way to directly integrate the Plantronics (or any other brand) headsets with the Mitel 4XXX series phone. This handset lifter is actually bundled with some of the SAVI headsets, depending on the actual model you get. Separately it's about an additional $50 option. I recall the Plantronics part number is HL-10. Hope this helps.

I recently bought a 2nd hand plantronics H51 that plugs directly into my corded phone. I can hear perfectly, but no one can hear me. HELP! I am needed in a conference call tomorrow morning. My corded...

One of the specifications for this product is that the microphone has volume controls on it. Try increasing your volume using those controls. They should be located on the receiver. If that doesn't solve the problem, you stated in your request that it was hooked up to your corded phone. Try increasing the volume on your phone and make sure all wired connections on the phone are hooked in properly and are properly secured in their terminals/ports. If that fails, try your amplifier. There could be a wire shortage or bad connection internally within the headset and microphone. I hope increasing the volume or correcting your wire connections will solve your problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa to be your one-stop place for finding solutions. Thank you have a good day!

Hello I am trying to install a new headset to my CS70 desk phone. The ruber earpiece on mine broke. How can I pair the new earpiece?.

When joining (or pairing) a Plantronics bluetooth headset to another device a lot depends on the other device. Assuming that you know the necessary steps of your phone, PC or other device for connecting a bluetooth device, all Plantronics headsets pretty much follow a set pairing procedure for connectivity. This one is for the Discovery 975:

1 Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your phone.
2 Turn the earpiece on. Press and hold the call control button until the indicator flashes red/white.
3 Use the commands on your other device to locate and select your earpiece. 9xx Plantronics.
4 If prompted for the PIN code or Passkey, enter 0000.

Pairing is successful when the indicator on your earpiece flashes white.

Note If your phone supports Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you will not need to enter a PIN code or Passkey.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

I had to power off my cell phone and then power it back on. That solved my issue.

Cant trasfer the call from phone to headset

Are the batteries at full capacity?  Refer to this: http://www.plantronics.com/images/catalog/product_fullsize/m12.jpg

The battery port is on the left hand side there.  You have to slide that switch off.  Make sure the headset button on the amp is pushed down.  Also, make sure that the short cord from the amp is plugged into the handset port of the phone, not the headset port.

Problem using headset - why the handset has to be off hook

Be sure the headset you have is compatible with the Merlin Magix and a 4424 L4D+ phone. You will need to program both the headset status and headset hangup buttons. Headset status will negate the need for lifting the handset. and the hangup button is used to disconnect the call.
