Cabin air filter location and replacement. Owners manuel says to take to dealer for periodic changing of the carbon filtration system. Is it under the glovebox? Any tricks to opening and who could sell me replacement filtration "stuff"?

The cabin air filter is placed inside the car under right dash panel near windscreen. See pictures below:

Usually the cabin air filter is located under the dash, under the glove compartment.

Hello , if you in fact have the cabin filtration filter system , it is located behind the glove box. Open the glove box door and squeez the two top outer edges together and the door will drop. You should see a plastic cover that has screws and may be marked with ( filter ) on it. unscrew required screws and slide filter out. I would verify with the dealer through a vin# check if your car has this. Nissan tried to get me to replace mine years ago for 130.00 bucks , i said no because I dont have that. He wanted to argue with me. Thank you , Quinn

it is slotted its about 2 inces wide and 12 inches long its under there right next to the evaporator core

The seat filters are located underneath each seat, driver and passenger. Slide seat(s) all way forward. From the rear reach underneath and feel for a small square filter, about 2x3in. Grasp an edge and pull down , it will pop out. Replace same way. Good hunting finding replacements. Had to go to a dealer and order.

The cabin air filter for your 2002 Buick Century is located under the cowl in the firewall between the engine compartment and the passenger side of the front seat. To change the filter:
1. Leave the wipers in up position.
2. Open the hood
3. Remove the weather stripping from passenger side of cowl
4. Unclip the window washer line (two or three places)
5. Remove the three fasteners with an ordinary screwdriver (one is easy, the other two were more difficult)
6. Take out the cowel cover
7. Remove old filter
8. Put in new filter
9. Replace cover, fasteners, washer line, and weather stripping.

Do it about every 20,000 km. I left mine for nearly 130,000 km and it was filthy dirty.
New filter costs about $12
