To replace a bulb in the Hitachi CP-S235 LCD Projector, do I just unscrew the two screws under the plate underneath the machine? Are there any precautions I should take, like not handling the bulb? I have never done this before. Thank you.

Turn off projector and remove power, undo screw on cover, take cover off, undo screws on bulb housing, remove bulb, put new bulb in, do screws up, replace cover, do up its screw, reconnect power and turn projector back on. Go into menu, advanced, option, lamp time, and push the up button to reset hours.

I literally just read that out of the manual.

this is the blue lcd burning out and is the end of the projector.

There will be a panel that holds the lamp module in, usually on the base of the unit. Once removed the lamp is usually held in with two screws mounted on the body of the lam. Once replaced, ensure the lamp is correctly fitted and the panel then switch on and reset the lamp life in the settings menu.

Could be overheating - till you find the issue just put another fan directly on bulb and give it the mother of all BJ's.

i think it is mothing to do with the bulb it is the stup of the 3 color frame inside ,or iternal dirt ....need profesional store ....

Replaced cable and the problem was solved.

easy on botem vent unscrew it then u see screw in ther holding balest of the bulb unscrew it litte pull up action on its arm as u will see lift it all out to get new in then reset timer ok

clean filter and reset the filter timer by advanced options filter timer and hold reset till menu shows then arrow up and it will zero out.

There is a small tab on the lamp cover that should press into an "L" shaped slot on the lamp housing. This tab may break off, and not press into slot far enough to make the lamp dectection switch click. When the lamp heats up, the plastics expand and the detection switch opens. The projector quits as if no lamp is installed. The fix is to make an extension for the tab. I cut a small piece of sheet metal and crazy-glued it to what was left of the plasic tab.
