DIY led screen replacement 6288

Hi guys,

I'm looking at buying a replacement LED screen off ebay from HongKong to replace my cracked one in my 6288 nokia... Is it easy to open it up and replace or while I screw it up more than it already is? It will be far too costly to send away for repairs as it was a free phone... Can you help?

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

The panel doesn't light up but programs work and it hard to see them

yep the back lights don't last long do they.
The lcd screen is lighted by led lights, sometimes the led's fail sometimes it's a power supply .
no matter it's not a simple DIY project . if you really like it you can contact the maker and ask if there is a replacement control panel if not you might try a Tv repair shop to replace the led's inside . but be warned the cost of the replacement panels and the Tv guy might be more that you paid for the whole thing in the first place.
another idea is to look on e bay for a used control panel, it might have the same problem when you get it but that would be the gamble of a used part.

Check Ebay, the best source for well priced replacement screens.

The led screen is cracked. I was browing the internet (eBay) at led screens so that maybe I could find someone to install it. I just can't see exactly what I'm doing on the screen because it is cracke

If you find the price too prohibitive and you are not sure if you can do the work, one solution would be to buy a stand alone screen and just plug and play!!! The only draw back, not as mobile. The prices are fairly competitive though...and not too hard to install.

The screen has cracked and i want to know how to get it replaced

Your best bet is to look on eBay. Search for price low to high. Often you can find CHEAP replacements in Hong Kong. They take a long time to arrive (3-6 weeks) but the savings are usually worth it.

How do I repair the lcd screen for my DSC-H9 sony camera that is broken and only shows a black screen with cracks throgh the lcd area

You need a set of philips screw drivers size #0,#00 and #000. Buy parts camera with stuck out lens but good lcd from ebay. Then replace the lcd screen and the led back light assembly connected by flexible circuit and flip up connector.
