Please provide me with all brands and models for your computer and DVD player, operation system and I can help you. Try this: disconnect your dvd player from your computer and let it reboot without it. Then turn off and connect the dvd and power up. Does your computer recognize it? Let me know and send that info.

DVD ROM can play CD, but not DVD

Hi vikbara,

It's most likely the driver that is missing or corrupt. If you have the original CD for the DVD ROM, I would suggest reloading it. If you don't you can find the driver HERE.

Good Luck,

Don't forget to leave a rating,

Thanks

I need pioneer dvr-215bk dvd rom drivers

dvd roms do not need drivers they are a standard format drive and should be recognised by your pc immediately.

in order to play DVDs you will however need a Software DVD player like WINDVD or POWER DVD

DVD-RWs do not need drivers but may require that the CD burning software that you use may need updating.
