I had the same problem. I called the Walmart corporate 800# to get parts and found out about the 2yr warranty. I knew it was less than 2 yrs old because I had a picture taken in my kitchen 12 - 18 mos earlier that showed my previous toster oven. They couldn't sell me the parts, but the guy said to take it back to the local Walmart and if they gave me any trouble to have them call him. Well, the "customer service" women at the local Walmart were down right hostile. How dare I return something 12 - 18 months after I bought it and without a receipt! But the guy at the corporate # was great and I walked out with a new oven, and a big smile. Now I need a new handle/feet for it because my wife turned the stove on and melted the handle:-(

Here is a GE address where you can check or there is a link to contact the company. http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/
If that doesn't help then here is an address with a list of websites that carry oven parts. netshoppers.com/search/index.php?phrase=oven+parts&uid=d5d00793c96dccbcaa9b5f3ca3d412cd&kuid=4c4a6ef184c15b7eeffee322a7d94921&src=7s
YES this is normal it is how it regulates temp by cycleing the elements ......................Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob
its not a diode its a fuse a high temp fuse . there is a number on it with a "c" after it thats the temp it opens ..... you can jump it out with a small bare wire just to test your elements and thermostat . if the thermostat does not cycle this fuse will blow . do not leave it jumped out , this is just for testing . find one on line with the number . and high temp fuse ... good luck
remove the plastic side where the controls are . if you see a broken wire you might be able to repair it otherwise theres no parts made for it ,so no matter how simple the broken part is .....there is nothing that can be done about it ........ WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF "MADE IN CHINA"
