Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My netgear wpn 511 card detects networks but wont connect to any of them. Ive rebooted the machine several times and it doesnt seem to help even when i click the ''repair'' option. Ive plugged in a Verison card i have but i couldnt quite figure out how to install it so I gave up. Sometimes my netgear card will work, but its very hit and miss. This is really frustrating bc ive had this card since 2005 and this is the first time Ive had any trouble! Please help me out...

Are you sure the networks are not security enabled? if the card is seeing the networks then it sounds like it is working normally.

Trying to hookup a wireless router to HP 1100

DSL uses PPOE, which may be different than what you had previously. Cable, for example, uses TCP/IP.
Re-set the router to defaults, and follow the instructions for PPOE, which should be in your manual or setup disk. Your ISP may have this info on their site, or you can get it at the Netgear site:
