Tom tom will not turn on

HI my tom tom will not turn on, we are in the USA visiting from Australia & everything worked all right until this morning when we tried to turn it on, it shoes when it is docked in car with charger but will not turn on when connected or disconnected. All my info is back in OZ hope someone can help me. Is there a reset button? I cannot see one. Unsure why it stopped working when it was switched off overnight.

Re: tom tom will not turn on

The reset button is hidden on the back. Flip it upside down, in there where it connects to the dock to the left of the rubber grommet is a reset swith. I use a bent paper clip to reset mine. I always keep one in my's a common problem with the TomTom's.

Can I download fee maps for Ireland and Germany to my Tom Tom Go 60>

Hi Tracy, It depends what model gps and which country you live, I live in Australia and have a life time of maps for Australia and New Zealand and even though I'll probably never go to New Zealand every time I update my maps it automatically updates all. By-the-way a life time of maps is as long as my Navman keeps working... CHEERS..

How do i get to the map for puerto rico on new tom tom

Puerto Rico is included with the latest 'USA' or 'USA & CANADA' or 'USA & Mexico' TomTom maps.
Depending on what map came originally with your unit, you can download the required USA map either for free or for a fee via 'TomTom Home' while connected to the internet. Alternatively, you can get it from a retail shop or from Tomtom directly on a DVD. It is a new Map, it will need to be registred to your device: you cannot just simply copy the maps from somebody else ...
WARNING: unless your unit came with a SD memory slot or came with 1GB of internal memory, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE those rather large maps! For instance, Tomtom One V3 in Australia only come with 512K and NO SD memory slot!
Hope this information is useful: let me know how you go!

Same; will not see pc

Possibly you have a corrupted file from the first inital install. Go to your add/remove program, make sure all your tom tom programs are uninstalled, even in your start menu. Make sure everything on your pc is clean of tom tom apps. Clean out your history and temp files, restart your computer and try reinstalling your program. If this don't work try going right to the tom tom site and installin the program from site.

Tom Tom One XL Repair Center???

The cost of having a new motherboard fitted exceeds the cost of a new GPS. Try one of the new Altinas 8010a . Marbella Australia have them on their site and will send to USA quite cheaply they are excellent and quite robust.and the exchange $ has never been better

Tom Tom Go 720

Reset the unit by pushing a bent paperclip or pin into the hole on the bottom marked 'reset' turn it back on, plug it in & charge it via USB overnight or as long as you can in the car, make sure the led on the top is green, tap the bottom right of the screen & check the battery symbol on the unit says charging underneath.

If this doesn't help.
contact them about the problem...
